What is the best age for newborn shoots?
There really is no ‘right’ age for a newborn photoshoot, each week brings with it something new. Newborns are at their sleepiest in the first 3 weeks and tend to become more alert with personality between 12-16 weeks. However, there really is no right time, For me, babies are just perfect whatever age they are.
I do always recommend a morning shoot because babies tend to be less fussy in the morning from my experience.
Do you rearrange shoots for illness or bad weather?
Of course! It goes with the territory when working with kids and our Great British weather. Outdoor sessions will be rearranged if its forecast to rain heavily, or dangerously stormy.
Do you retouch images?
I want to capture you and your family as naturally as possible. I can do light retouching for scratches or pesky spots that appear the morning of the shoot, but I do like to keep things as natural as possible.
Is your client wardrobe inclusive of all sizes?
Do you have public liability insurance?
I am slowly building up my collection of dresses, kaftans and jumpsuits. At the moment I have styles that fit and flatter sizes 8-16. I aim to buy styles that are really versatile in size - stretchy and drawstring waistbands work wonders for this. I love helping with wardrobe so please do ask for advice if I don’t have a size that covers you yet.

After having my second (and probably last baby) I wanted some mummy and baby moments captured to keep as a memory. I am not a fan of being photographed at all! Hannah made me feel so comfortable and relaxed.
